🇩🇰 Day 13 – Indecisively Heading South

Today started off leisurely. First, I rode in the wrong direction, hoping to see some seals. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see any again.

So I headed south without having achieved anything. The start of today’s stage turned out to be pretty tough. Luckily, I had a bit of a tailwind. So, with the sun out and a light drizzle, I managed to push through until lunch break.

As a reward, I treated myself to a big burger and fries, and it took me a while to get going again.

After another 15 km, I stopped again for a dip in the North Sea.

I then set off on the remaining 35 km to my campsite—a bit later than usual—with music in my ears.

About 10 km before my destination for the day, the rain finally caught up with me. Right in the middle of the road, with not a single piece of rain gear in sight, I got completely soaked. That’s what you get for dawdling all day.

Now that I’ve arrived at my campsite, the sun is shining again as if nothing had happened. Maybe my shoes will be dry again by tomorrow.
